The Hidden Cost of Success Audit™
Privacy Policy
We collect only what we need to send you your results and occasional resources, and we never sell your information. This policy explains what information we collect when you take The Hidden Cost of Success Audit™ ("the Audit") or visit careerharmony.net, how we use it, and the choices you have.
The Audit is offered by Career Harmony ("we," "us," "our"), led by Angélica Pérez-Litwin, PhD, MBA.
Effective date: October 29, 2026
The Audit is an educational self-reflection tool. It is not a medical, psychological, or diagnostic service. Taking it does not create a doctor-patient, therapist-client, or other professional relationship.
Information we collect
When you take the Audit, we collect the following information:
- Contact details. Your first name and email address, which you enter when you take the Audit.
- Audit responses and scores. Your answers, along with the scores calculated from them: your Hidden Cost Score, your six area scores, and your Career Identity Fusion score.
Your Audit responses describe how work may be affecting your mood, thinking, body, relationships, and time. We treat this information as sensitive and handle it with extra care.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Deliver your results. We generate your personalized report and send it to your email.
- Send occasional emails. By taking the Audit, you agree to receive occasional emails with resources and offers, which may reflect your general results. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
- Improve the Audit. We review results in combined, de-identified form (for example, how often each area scores in the High range) to improve the Audit and our educational resources.
- Respond to you. We use your contact details to answer questions or requests you send us.
- Keep our services secure and meet legal obligations.
We do not use your Audit responses for academic research or clinical studies.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
We share information only in these limited cases:
- Service providers. Companies that host our website and database and deliver our emails process information on our behalf, only to provide those services, and under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or security of our users or others.
- Business changes. If our business is reorganized or transferred, information may be transferred as part of that process, and this policy will continue to apply.
Event hosts and partners do not receive your results. If you took the Audit through a link shared by an event host or partner organization, they do not see your individual responses, scores, or report.
How long we keep information
We keep your contact details for as long as you stay subscribed to our emails. We keep your Audit responses and scores for up to 3 years after you last take the Audit or interact with us, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. De-identified, combined data may be kept longer.
How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including access controls and encrypted connections, to protect your information. No online service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any email.
- Access, correct, or delete your information by emailing us at the address below.
- Withdraw consent to our use of your information at any time. This will not affect use that happened before you withdrew.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state or international privacy laws, including rights related to sensitive or consumer health information. We will honor these rights as required by applicable law and will not treat you differently for exercising them.
Children
The Audit is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.
Where information is stored
Your information is stored and processed in the United States. If you take the Audit from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date, and notify you by email of any significant changes.
